The 2026 key trade union official training class (2nd class) organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) was opened on the morning of August 13.
During the period from August 13-15, members of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour who are Vice Chairmen of Provincial and City Labor Federations, industrial park trade union officials, commune and ward trade unions, upper-level grassroots trade unions, members of the Inspection Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Vice Chairmen of Provincial and City Labor Federations in the Northern region, Central Industry Trade Unions, Economic Group Trade Unions, Corporations directly under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour were exchanged on 8 topics and went to the field, exchanging experiences at grassroots trade unions under the Bac Ninh Provincial Labor Federation.
8 topics include: Promoting the implementation of trade union culture, worker culture, and safety culture at the workplace; Innovating the implementation of the task of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; Some guidelines and Resolutions of the 14th Party Congress on building the Vietnamese working class and strong trade union organizations in the new era; The establishment of the worker's organization at enterprises according to the 2019 Labor Code and issues posed to our country and the role of the trade union organization; New thinking and major contents of the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress associated with digital transformation in the activities of the Vietnam Trade Union; Innovating propaganda, education, and mobilization of union members and workers in the new situation; Strengthening the work of developing union members, building a contingent of trade union officials, building a strong Vietnam Trade Union organization and improving the effectiveness of Party building participation; Key tasks of trade union finance and worker housing according to the Party's guidelines.
Thematic topics were presented and exchanged by the Chairman, Standing Vice Chairman, Vice Chairmen of the VGCL and lecturers of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; representatives of the Internal Political Security Department - Ministry of Public Security.
In which, on the morning of August 14, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the VGCL exchanged views on the topic "New Thinking and Major Contents of the Resolution of the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress" associated with digital transformation in the activities of the Vietnam Trade Union.
One of the contents emphasized by the President of the VGCL in the lecture is the challenges for the Vietnam Trade Union organization today; the significance and implementation of the emulation movement "Good Labor - High Productivity - Good Income"; especially, it is necessary to innovate to well perform the role of representing and caring for union members and workers, one of the tasks of which is dialogue, negotiation, and signing collective labor agreements with clauses higher than the law that benefit workers.
In addition, it is necessary to promote the role of presiding over supervision, implementing social criticism of trade unions according to the provisions of law (this is an advantage of the Trade Union organization compared to organizations of employees at enterprises), promptly detect and propose handling violations of the law related to the rights and interests of employees; contribute to building a strong trade union organization, truly being a reliable support for union members and employees in the new situation...
