To perform this function well, building creative operating models suitable to the industry's specific characteristics is an urgent requirement.
The "Trade Union Accompanying Workers" model has organized periodic dialogues between workers and business leaders; Established a "quick feedback channel" (Zalo Group, suggestion box committing to information security, quick feedback). Thereby increasing transparency, reducing labor disputes, increasing the representative role and voice of workers, and union members boldly participating in contributing opinions.
The "Digital Trade Union" model has applied technology to manage union members; Online opinion survey; Organize online trade union activities. From there, it helps save time, access quickly and in line with the trend of digital transformation.
The "Protective Apparel - Safety for Workers" model has equipped and periodically inspected protective equipment (shoulders, gloves, jackets...). Place protective cabinets at the workshop for quick replacement when damaged, ensuring labor safety, reducing the risk of accidents and occupational diseases.
In addition, the "Supporting workers far from home, in difficult circumstances" model has supported rent, living expenses, and child support allowances for female workers. The "On-the-spot Health Care" and "On-the-spot Legal Consulting Group" models promptly care for and protect the rights of workers...
With the specific characteristics of the seafood industry and a scale of about 500 union members, building creative and flexible Trade Union models is extremely necessary. Practical models will contribute to improving the lives of workers, building harmonious and stable labor relations and promoting sustainable business development," Mr. Dung shared.
Over 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 6a of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) term X on "Continuing to innovate the content, methods and improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities", the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers (CNVCLĐ) and trade union activities have had many positive changes.
An Giang Provincial Labor Federation said that the whole province has more than 114,000 union members; 721 grassroots trade unions, professional unions. In general, the force of union members continues to develop, the rate of union member gathering is relatively high; the quality of union members is gradually being improved as an important basis for trade union levels to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation, and improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities in the new situation.

Trade union levels have focused on guiding grassroots trade unions to well exercise their rights and responsibilities in negotiating, signing and implementing collective labor agreements; participating in resolving labor disputes and strikes; coordinating with employers to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at enterprises. The program "Improving the quality of negotiation, signing and effective implementation of collective labor agreements" has been implemented synchronously, the quality of agreements has been gradually improved, and there are increasingly more clauses that benefit workers compared to the provisions of law.
Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said that trade union levels have gradually innovated direction and administration methods in the direction of being close to grassroots levels, close to union members and workers, promptly grasping thoughts, aspirations, reflections, and recommendations from grassroots levels to propose solutions. Some practical models and ways of doing things have been implemented such as mobilizing union members to register for initiatives and solutions; mobilizing contributions to build works and tasks to support union members' children in difficult circumstances; building models "close to grassroots levels, close to workers", strengthening contacts, dialogues, and grasping the situation of union members and workers.
100% of grassroots trade unions have applied platforms such as Zalo, Facebook, electronic information pages, union member management software or appropriate electronic information forms to serve propaganda, union member management, operation deployment and receiving feedback from grassroots levels.
