Effectively perform the function of representing and protecting union members and workers
The report at the Congress stated that in the period 2023 - 2025, Vietnam Rubber Trade Union levels have proactively coordinated with professional departments to effectively perform the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers (NLD) and participate in building and supervising the implementation of regimes and policies directly related to NLD.
During this time, the negotiation, signing and implementation of collective labor agreements continued to be concerned, with many contents more beneficial to workers than the provisions of law.
Periodic and unscheduled dialogue activities at the workplace are maintained, grassroots democracy regulations are strictly implemented; many recommendations and proposals from union members and workers are received and resolved promptly, contributing to removing arising difficulties and building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises.

Vietnam Rubber Trade Union levels have organized Tet care for workers with a total budget of more than 21.4 billion VND; visiting, giving gifts, and supporting union members and workers in difficult circumstances, dangerous diseases, labor accidents, natural disasters... with a total amount of 11.03 billion VND.
Rubber Trade Unions at all levels have supported the construction and repair of 283 houses from the "Trade Union Home" Fund with a total budget of nearly 14.2 billion VND; implemented the "Trade Union Meal" program with a total amount of more than 3.6 billion VND; implemented cultural institutions and "Trade Union Light" with a total budget of nearly 1.2 billion VND...
Focus on issues of salaries, social security, and labor safety
Speaking to direct the Congress, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Thai Thu Xuong requested the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union to continue to focus on performing well the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, focusing on issues of salaries, social security, labor safety and health care; Strengthening coordination in implementing grassroots democracy regulations; promoting inspection and supervision of the implementation of policies and laws on labor, trade unions and insurance regimes; Proactively participating in promptly resolving arising issues right from the grassroots level, developing care activities in a practical and effective direction.
At the same time, organize well patriotic emulation movements among union members and workers with content and methods suitable for each type of grassroots, industry, and object, especially the emulation movement "good labor, creative labor", "green, clean, beautiful, ensuring labor safety and hygiene", "good at state affairs, good at home affairs". Focus on building advanced models, promoting initiatives, technical improvements, emulation projects; promote the work of discovering, selecting, honoring, and replicating advanced models, especially workers directly involved in production.
The Congress also elected the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union for the term 2025 - 2030. Accordingly, Ms. Huynh Thi Cam Hong was elected as Chairwoman of the Vietnam Rubber Trade Union for the term 2025 - 2030.
The Congress also sets annual targets such as: Striving to recruit 500 new union members or more each year; 100% of newly recruited workers, who meet the conditions, are propagated and mobilized to participate in trade union organizations; On average, each grassroots trade union introduces at least 1 outstanding union member to the Party for consideration and fostering for admission; 100% of grassroots trade unions participate with employers to promulgate and implement grassroots democracy regulations; participate in supervising the implementation of regimes and policies for workers.
Every year, over 80% of grassroots trade unions sign and implement union member welfare programs with clear and practical incentive levels; Continue to coordinate with businesses to improve employee income, striving to have an average annual income of over 10 million VND/person/month; Each year, at least 50 initiatives and technical improvements are recognized and effectively applied...
