At the preliminary conference on 5 years of implementing Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo on "Innovating the organization and operation of Vietnam Trade Unions in the new situation", businesses and the Ho Chi Minh City trade union organization assessed and analyzed the shortcomings, limitations and causes, thereby proposing tasks and solutions to continue innovating the organization and operation of trade unions.
Speaking at the conference, representatives of Yazaki Co., Ltd. said that most direct production workers come from many different provinces and cities across the country, each person has their own circumstances and needs. From the above characteristics, the Yazaki Company's grassroots trade union has shifted from planning thinking to service thinking, taking the satisfaction of workers as a measure.

Because workers work in shifts and are crowded, the trade union cannot only rely on meetings, but arrange trade union officials in all departments and working positions. This helps to meet directly, listen to thoughts right at the workshop to promptly solve arising problems.
In particular, the trade union has negotiated with the company to include in the collective labor agreement beneficial clauses, higher than the law such as: seniority bonus up to 8 million VND, bonus for workers who know Japanese, safety and quality emulation bonus up to 12 million VND...
Representatives of the grassroots trade union of PouYuen Co., Ltd. shared that the company's biggest highlight is organizing the "Thank you to employees" program. The company has donated more than 1,000 taels of 18K gold to workers who have contributed for over 15 years.
In addition, education, medical examination and treatment, and care for workers' children are also expressed through large-scale festivals and movements, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere, helping workers feel secure in contributing, contributing to increasing productivity.

The above results have shown the unremitting efforts and consensus, high determination of the entire city's trade union system in sticking to the grassroots level, strongly transforming thinking from management to service to bring real values to workers.
On this occasion, the conference awarded certificates of merit to 14 collectives and 26 individuals with achievements in implementing Resolution No. 02 of the Politburo. Along with that, 108 collectives and 74 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing activities of "Workers' Month" in 2026 also received certificates of merit at the conference.
Besides the achieved results, according to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, propaganda and union member development in non-state sectors, small businesses or informal workers still face many barriers. In addition, the content and approach in some places are still lacking in depth and have not really attracted young workers.

With the message "Trade unions cannot be strong if they are far from workers, cannot be attractive if workers' rights are not well protected", the conference set out key tasks for emulation in the last 6 months of 2026, and at the same time continued to concretize activities to implement Resolution 02 of the Politburo. Notably, the 30-day campaign to update union member data in August 2026, thereby reviewing and promoting practical social security care through large-scale health screening programs and starting 2 workers' housing projects.
