There is no reason to hesitate
In the early days of 2026, the Trade Union of Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Exploitation Joint Stock Company (AHT) organized visits, presented gifts and officially received lifetime support for 5 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the city. Support was implemented from January 2026, with a support level of 1 million VND per month for each Mother. According to Mr. Truong Cong Tam - Chairman of the Trade Union of AHT Company, the decision to receive support was quickly agreed upon by the collective, almost without consideration. “This is something everyone hears is right, feels it is necessary to do. Working in the trade union, when encountering cases like the Mothers, there is no reason to hesitate,” Mr. Tam shared.
Not stopping at AHT, the "Gratitude" movement continued to spread to many other units. Recently, representatives of the Party Committee, the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Son Tra Regional Health Center Trade Union visited, presented gifts and officially received lifetime support for Vietnamese Heroic Mother Vo Thi Pham. Mother Vo Thi Pham, born in 1939, residing in Quang Phuong block, Dien Ban Bac ward, is a person who has experienced great losses in the war. Her husband is martyr Le Ngoc Diem, her daughter is martyr Le Thi Tra - two close relatives who bravely sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland. These silent but great contributions have been recognized by the Party and State with the honorary title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother. During the visit, besides the support gifts, members of the delegation spent a lot of time chatting, listening and encouraging Mother and her family. For health workers, receiving support for Mother is seen as a natural continuation of the spirit of caring for and supporting Mother.
Gratitude with long-term, sustainable actions
Sharing the same spirit, the grassroots Trade Union of Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading Joint Stock Company is currently receiving lifetime support for Vietnamese Heroic Mother Thai Thi Dau, born in 1925, residing in Cam Long village, Tay Ho commune. Mother has a husband who is martyr Tran Em and a son who is martyr Tran Luong - those who have forever remained for today's peace. Mr. Truong Van Quang - Chairman of the Trade Union of Thuan Phuoc Seafood and Trading Joint Stock Company said that receiving support for Mother is an activity that the unit unanimously implements in the spirit of responding to the launch of the Da Nang City Labor Federation. "We do not see this as a simple support activity, but as a long-term gratitude for the sacrifices of Mother and her family for the country," Mr. Quang said. According to Mr. Quang, the support is implemented from January 2026, with a level of 1 million VND per month, contributed by the collective of officials, union members, and workers in the unit.
Besides the above-mentioned units, in the past time, there have also been many other grassroots trade unions participating in the movement such as: Trade Union of Deo Ca Transport Infrastructure Joint Stock Company to support Mother Nguyen Thi Nhan (Tien Phuoc commune); Branch 2 Trade Union of TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company to support Mother Nguyen Thi Hien (Son Cam Ha commune)... This shows that the movement is spreading more and more widely in agencies and businesses in the city.
According to statistics from the Da Nang City Labor Federation, currently the whole city has 299 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers still alive; among them, there are still Mothers who have not received support or the support level is still low. From this reality, the Da Nang City Labor Federation has widely launched in grassroots trade unions to register to receive support for Mothers. Up to this point, 38 affiliated grassroots trade unions have registered to receive support for 44 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, with support levels from 1 - 1.5 million VND/month.
