On January 25, fighting in Ukraine continued to escalate with record numbers of damage. According to the latest report from the Russian Ministry of Defense, the country's air defense system had a day of full capacity operation and achieved incredible efficiency.
In just the past 24 hours, the Russian army has successfully shot down 31 HIMARS multiple rocket launchers manufactured by the US - a weapon considered the pride of the Ukrainian artillery.
In addition to neutralizing the "fire god" HIMARS, the Russian air defense fire net also shot down 68 fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 2 guided bombs of the enemy, preventing many dangerous air strikes.
Not only defending, Russia also organized large-scale ground attacks. Moscow armed forces fired into 159 different areas along the front lines.
The key targets of these bombings are important energy infrastructure that is feeding the Ukrainian defense industrial complex, as well as storage and launch pads for long-range unmanned aerial vehicles.
Notably, the report emphasized that precision strikes hit many temporary deployment points of the Ukrainian army and especially concentration camps of foreign mercenaries.
Targeting mercenary groups shows that Russia is determined to cut off human resource aid from outside Kiev.
Regarding personnel casualties, the Russian side announced that the Ukrainian army lost up to 1,335 soldiers in just 1 day of fierce fighting on all fronts.
The Central Operations Group suffered the heaviest damage when it eliminated 375 soldiers from the battlefield.
The eastern and southern combat groups respectively killed 315 and 215 soldiers.
Western, northern and Dnepr combat groups also caused hundreds of enemy soldiers to be injured and killed, while destroying many tanks and armored vehicles.
Summarizing since the start of the special military operation, the Russian Ministry of Defense said it had destroyed a huge amount of Ukrainian equipment, including: 670 fighter jets, more than 111,000 unmanned aerial vehicles, more than 27,000 tanks and armored vehicles, and tens of thousands of other specialized military vehicles.
