On August 4, the Da Nang City Labor Federation organized a training conference on the Law on Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots level and the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity in trade union activities for the team of trade union officials in charge throughout the system.
The conference was chaired by Mr. Vo Cong Chanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee as a speaker.
This is the second training class in the 2026 Trade Union official training and fostering program of the City Labor Federation.
At the conference, trainees were disseminated the key contents of the Law on Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots level; new regulations and guidelines of the Party and State on the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity; and at the same time exchanged and discussed the application of regulations to the practical activities of trade unions.
Through the topics, the speaker analyzed the role and significance of implementing democracy at the grassroots level in building democratic, public, and transparent agencies, units, and enterprises; clarifying the responsibility of trade union organizations in representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
At the same time, he emphasized the requirement to raise awareness of responsibility, public service ethics, strengthen discipline, order and prevent acts of corruption, wastefulness, and negativity in the process of performing tasks.
In addition, the reporter also informed about specific incidents and events taking place in the city, thereby learning a lesson in the process of implementing the Law on Implementing Democracy at the Grassroots level, and the work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity in trade union activities.
The training class contributes to improving legal knowledge, political bravery and task performance capacity for the team of full-time trade union officials, creating a foundation for promoting democracy at the grassroots level, building strong and effective trade union organizations, meeting the requirements in the new situation.
According to the plan of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, from August to December 2026, the City Labor Federation will organize training sessions according to each thematic group.
Strive for 100% of officials at the city Labor Federation departments, Chairmen; Vice Chairmen, full-time officials and members of the Ward and Commune Trade Union Inspection Committee to fully participate in training and fostering contents.
Thereby, building a team of trade union officials to meet the operating requirements of the Trade Union organization according to the new model.
