Strong towards grassroots levels and associated with care
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - said: The 2026 Da Nang City Union Members and Workers Connecting Day is organized to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2nd, and continues the series of activities to care for union members and workers in 2026.
According to the plan, the festival takes place on August 16, opening at 8 am at Tam Thang Industrial Park. Activities are identified in a practical, effective direction, strongly towards grassroots levels and associated with caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
One of the practical activities at the festival is a free health check-up and consultation program. Union members and workers in need will receive general health care, oral health and related content.
In addition to health care, workers can also learn about and remove obstacles regarding their rights right at the Legal Dialogue Counseling Point.
Here, Trade Union officials will directly advise on issues related to regimes, policies and laws. Grassroots trade union officials are also supported in trade union activities, dialogue, negotiation, signing of collective labor agreements, trade union organizations and finance. Books and leaflets on policies and laws are also provided to participants.
The goal of the Trade Union is to organize truly practical activities, taking union members and workers as the center.
Through the festival, we hope that workers will not only have an additional spiritual playground but also receive health care, legal advice, and equip themselves with the necessary knowledge and skills for life and work" - Mr. Le Van Dai said.
More spiritual playground, safety skills
Not only taking care of health and rights, the festival also creates a cultural exchange space for union members and workers through the 2026 Da Nang City Union Member and Worker Singing Contest.
The contest is expected to have a maximum of 40 entries participating in the qualifying round, selecting 10 entries for the final round. The works focus on praising the homeland, country, life, Trade Union organization; images of workers in building and developing the country and the spirit of enthusiastic labor and production.
Another highlight is the Traffic Safety Day for union members and workers.
According to the plan, union members and workers at grassroots trade unions in Tam Thang Industrial Park and Thuan Yen Industrial Park alone are expected to participate in about 2,000 people.
About 2,000 union members and workers from trade unions in Tam Ky, Ban Thach, Huong Tra, Nui Thanh, Chien Dan, Thang Binh, Thang An communes and wards were also mobilized to participate.
At the program, workers were tested, given light repairs and free car maintenance; experienced new car lines; participated in workshops guiding safe driving skills, fuel-saving competitions and interactive games.
The program also includes the activity "Removing old cars for new ones" motorbikes, lucky draws with many gifts. According to the plan, notable gifts include 2 motorbikes worth more than 20 million VND each and other gifts for participants.
In addition, the festival is expected to have booths introducing products of partners participating in the union member welfare program. The organizational budget is made from Trade Union financial sources and socialized sources.
From health check-ups, legal advice to arts and culture, traffic safety, the common point of the activities is to focus on the specific needs of union members and workers.
Through this, the Connecting Day not only creates an extra playground after working hours but is also an opportunity for the Trade Union organization to get closer to workers, listen to needs and bring care activities directly to the grassroots level.
