A locality adds more than 1,350 enrollment quotas for 10th grade high school
Can Tho City People's Committee has issued a decision approving the adjustment of enrollment targets for 10th grade public high schools (THPT) in the 2026-2027 school year in the city.
Accordingly, approving adjustments in enrollment targets and admission targets; and assigning the Director of the Department of Education and Training (GD&ĐT) of Ho Chi Minh City as well as general education institutions to carry out this work.

Da Nang stabilizes school and personnel arrangements before August 25th
Talking to a reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu - Vice Chairman of Tra Tan Commune People's Committee (Da Nang) - said that the locality has completed the development of Plan No. 09/PA-UBND submitted to the city for consideration. According to this plan, the commune proposes to merge Anh Duong Kindergarten and Vanh Khuyen Kindergarten into Tra Tan Kindergarten. At the same time, the locality arranges 2 primary schools and 2 secondary schools to form 2 inter-level primary and secondary schools, thereby reducing 50% of the number of school focal points (from 6 establishments to 3 establishments).
Regarding the plan to handle redundant staff, Tra Tan commune plans to arrange 1 kindergarten principal to no longer hold the position of principal and take on the position of vice principal. 2 redundant staff (accountants, clerks) will be assigned to the Commune People's Committee to be in charge of appropriate professional tasks.

Similarly, Lien Chieu Ward People's Committee also issued Plan No. 06/PA-UBND proposing to merge small-scale kindergartens and elementary schools to reduce from 10 schools to 7 schools (reaching a reduction rate of 30% of focal points). Lang Son requests not to "plant" relatives in school management positions
The People's Committee of Lang Son province has just requested localities to urgently develop a project to arrange educational institutions under their management, complete and issue it no later than August 12.
Accordingly, the project must ensure transparency and efficiency; have a plan to arrange staff, handle assets, facilities, equipment, records and documents of schools after merger.

Ministry of Education and Training talks about unpaid leave when considering teacher promotion
Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan Trang is a grade III high school teacher from December 1, 2015, until now, if not counting the probation period of 9 years of work. During this period, she took 9 months of unpaid leave for personal reasons.
Ms. Trang has a university degree. Currently, her school is having a promotion consideration for high school teacher rank II. Ms. Trang asked, is her case qualified to hold a professional title for 9 years?

According to the provisions of point b, clause 2, Article 3 of Decree No. 77/2021/ND-CP dated August 1, 2021 of the Government stipulating the seniority allowance regime for teachers, the time of non-payment leave continuously from 1 month or more is not counted for seniority allowance for teachers.
