On August 31, the Dak Lak Provincial Federation of Labor informed that the unit had sent a document to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on the proposal to adjust the target of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in 2025.
Recently, the Provincial Federation of Labor has reviewed and compiled data on workers, civil servants, laborers, union members, and grassroots unions after restructuring the apparatus.
Therefore, the Provincial Federation of Labor proposed to adjust the actual development target to increase union members in 2025 to 1,200 people.
As of August 2025, the whole Dak Lak province has a total of 58,810 union members. In early 2025, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor assigned the locality to develop 18,630 union members.
Since the beginning of the year, the work of developing union members and establishing grassroots unions in the area has encountered many difficulties, the achievement rate is low compared to the assigned target.
The main reason is the arrangement of the apparatus in the trade union system. Most of the businesses in the area are small and micro enterprises, and production and business activities still face many difficulties.
