15 years, organized over 10,000 propaganda sessions for 500,000 female officials
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Do Hong Van requested delegates to focus on assessing the actual effectiveness of Resolution 6b and the emulation movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework" in the current context; share good models and effective ways of doing things at the grassroots level; propose feasible solutions and policy recommendations that are close to the needs of female workers.

Reporting on the summary of 15 years of implementing Resolution 6b/NQ-BCH and the emulation movement "Good at work, good at home", Ms. Luong Thi Viet Ha - Head of Labor Relations Department, Vietnam Education Union - said that the Vietnam Education Union directly manages 74 grassroots trade unions with nearly 44,911 officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers, of which women are 25,085 people, accounting for 55.8%.
Every year, the Vietnam Education Union coordinates to implement the action plan for gender equality in the education sector; organizes 15 training classes for over 2,250 female officials in the sector. Unions of units innovate content, diversify propaganda methods; use digital platforms to improve the effectiveness of propaganda work...
In 15 years, trade unions of units have organized over 10,000 propaganda sessions for 500,000 female CBNGNLĐ about policies, gender equality... promptly supporting, visiting and encouraging female CBNGNLĐ with difficult family circumstances with a total amount of over 1.5 billion VND.
As a result of implementing Directive No. 03/CT-TLĐ dated August 18, 2010 of the VGCL, female officials, teachers, and employees (CBNGNLĐ) constantly innovate methods and improve teaching quality; the movement to study and foster to improve political and professional qualifications has been promoted. According to a survey of 47 units, there are currently 16 female professors and 527 associate professors, 3,094 doctors, 6,735 masters, 3,651 bachelors...
Arousing the spirit of dedication and affirming the capacity of women
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Trade Union of Hung Yen University of Technical Education - said that the results achieved in the process of implementing the movement at the unit in the past time are vividly and clearly shown. Through this, it awakens the spirit of dedication and affirms the capacity of women, promoting female officials to constantly study and improve their professional qualifications. In parallel, the movement also helps consolidate the family foundation, along with excellently completing agency tasks, female union members still maintain the role of "fire keepers", caring for and building a prosperous, equal, progressive, and happy family; raising children to be obedient and study well.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy also proposed a number of solutions to innovate the emulation movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework": innovate thinking and understanding of the criteria "Good at housework"; adjust the set of flexible evaluation criteria, towards "Balance between work and life"; diversify and concretize support activities from trade unions, linking the movement "Good at state affairs, good at housework" with the movement "Women actively study, creatively work, build happy families".
Ms. Vu Thi Hong Phuong - Trade Union of Thuong Mai University - raised a number of issues arising from the grassroots level: Pressure from the autonomy mechanism, KPI and digital transformation is causing female workers to face higher work intensity, while family responsibility does not decrease; in some places, female labor activities are still heavily focused on formality, not really touching the practical needs of workers and laborers; some current policies do not fully reflect gender characteristics in the higher education environment, especially for female lecturers.

From the above reality, representatives of the Trade Union of Thuong Mai University proposed a number of policy orientations at the grassroots level: Flexible working hours for female workers in the stage of raising young children; organizing groups to support scientific research for female lecturers; strengthening physical and mental health care activities in a practical and regular manner...
