On May 26, in Quy Nhon Nam ward, the Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a training class on occupational safety and health for nearly 40 grassroots trade union officials and a network of safety and health workers at enterprises under the Trade Unions of Binh Dinh, An Nhon Nam wards and Phu Cat, Tay Son, Tuy Phuoc communes.
At the training session, trainees were informed about the provisions of law on occupational safety and health; guidance on skills to identify unsafe risks in the working process; measures to prevent work accidents, occupational diseases and how to handle situations arising at the workplace.
In addition to theoretical content, many practical situations are also presented for students to exchange, discuss and practice handling plans suitable to production conditions at enterprises.
Through the training class, grassroots Trade Union officials and safety and hygiene personnel have improved their awareness and professional skills in occupational safety and hygiene; contributing to ensuring a safe working environment and protecting workers' health at enterprises.
