At the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy - Vice President of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation - reported on the results of Trade Union activities in 2025, and at the same time outlined tasks and the Trade Union work program for 2026.
In 2025, the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities in the province continued to closely follow the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the work programs set out.
Trade union levels focus on streamlining the apparatus, innovating operating methods suitable to the new context; organizing many practical activities to care for union members and workers (DV, NLD) during Tet Nguyen Dan, Workers' Month; promptly encouraging and supporting DV, NLD affected by natural disasters... Thereby, continuing to affirm the role and position of the Trade Union organization.
The Provincial Trade Union has consulted 266 cases, guided 152 workers to file complaints; supported workers to recover salaries, severance allowances, and carry out procedures to receive unemployment benefits with a total amount of nearly 1.1 billion VND.
During the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation and Trade Union levels organized programs "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", "0-dong Booth", "Trade Union Tet Market"; supported more than 66 billion VND in cash and gifts for 133,668 turns of union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from labor accidents, dangerous diseases, and occupational diseases.
During Workers' Month, trade union levels visited and supported 427 union members and workers suffering from dangerous diseases and labor accidents with an amount of 394 million VND; presented 100 gifts, worth a total of 70 million VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.
Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation has supported the construction and repair of 45 "Trade Union Warm Houses", "Compassionate Houses" for union members with a total budget of more than 2.2 billion VND; mobilized 48 businesses to increase the value of meals for workers.
Immediately after the historic storm and flood that occurred in November 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation organized 3 visits and supports for 185 severely damaged cases, with a total amount of 370 million VND.
In 2025, the whole province developed 46 new grassroots trade unions (CDCS), admitted 6,603 union members, raising the total number of CDCS to 1,003 with 80,136 union members, 90,729 workers, civil servants and laborers.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy launched the 2026 Trade Union activity program, with the theme "Promoting innovation; concretizing and bringing the Resolutions of the Party Congress, the Fatherland Front, and the Trade Union into life", with 11 key targets and 16 key provincial-level activities.
At the conference, delegates raised many opinions and recommendations, focusing on the contents of finance, organization; Tet care activities; training and improving skills to protect the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers...
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ha Duy Trung - Chairman of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation - said that he will fully absorb the opinions and recommendations of the delegates. He requested trade union levels to firmly grasp the ideological situation of union members and workers in the period before the 2026 Lunar New Year, as well as closely monitor the Tet bonus situation of businesses for workers.
2026 is the year to strengthen training work, in order to ensure that trade union officials, whether new or experienced, are fully equipped with knowledge, and re-systematize the entire content of work to effectively implement assigned tasks," Mr. Trung said.
The Conference also approved the Working Regulations of the Executive Committee and the Inspection Committee; announced the assignment of tasks to the members of the Executive Committee of Gia Lai Provincial Labor Federation, term I, term 2025-2030.
On this occasion, Mr. Ha Duy Trung awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, Director of the Cooking - Fermenting Workshop, Branch of Saigon Beer - Central Region Joint Stock Company in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh (now Gia Lai province), for having an initiative that brought high benefits.
At the same time, awarding the Creative Labor Certificate of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 11 individuals who achieved the title of creative labor in the patriotic emulation movement in 2024.
