With the theme "Focusing on implementing the resolution of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels, term 2023-2028; launching the emulation movement to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union", the Vietnam Education Trade Union has identified key tasks in 2024 and practical and effective implementation solutions; focusing on innovation and improving the quality of direction and management.
Last year, the Vietnam Education Trade Union coordinated with the Ministry of Education and Training to mobilize more than 21.4 billion VND to support teachers, students and schools in provinces affected by storm No. 3 Yagi.
In a series of activities to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union, the Vietnam Education Trade Union has renovated the road leading to the Martyrs' Cemetery of the Education Sector at Tan Bien Martyrs' Cemetery, Tay Ninh Province, worth nearly 400 million VND. The inauguration and gratitude ceremony was solemnly organized by the Vietnam Education Trade Union and Education Trade Unions at all levels on July 22; organized the awarding of the "July 22 Award - Vietnam Education Trade Union" to 22 exemplary trade union officials; organized meetings and expressed gratitude to generations of trade union officials in a solemn, warm and joyful manner; directed the organization of the Trade Union Meal program...
The affiliated units have visited and supported union members with serious illnesses and those in especially difficult circumstances, and taken care of 1,353 officials, teachers, and workers on holidays and Tet with a total amount of over 1.9 billion VND...
In 2025, with the theme "Focusing on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party", the Vietnam Education Trade Union focuses on directing, guiding and creating the best conditions for grassroots trade unions to organize effective, practical and in-depth activities, attracting the attention and participation of a large number of cadres, workers, civil servants and laborers (CBNVNLD).
From there, enhance the position of the organization, attract workers to participate in the trade union; do a good job of advising and seriously implement the instructions of the grassroots Party Committee.
In 2024, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded 4 Emulation Flags, 8 collective certificates of merit, 29 individual certificates of merit and 3 certificates of creative labor. The Vietnam Education Trade Union awarded 18 Emulation Flags, 2 specialized Emulation Flags, comprehensive certificates of merit to 116 collectives, 175 individuals and specialized certificates of merit to 176 collectives, 497 individuals.
Speaking at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc An commented: "The Vietnam Education Trade Union has had a year of organizing and directing the implementation of trade union activities with many remarkable results, contributing to the stability and development of educational institutions and schools, contributing to the innovation journey of the education sector and contributing to affirming the position, prestige and contribution of the Trade Union organization in Vietnamese education in particular and the Trade Union organization in general".
At the conference, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the "For the cause of building the Trade Union organization" Medal to Ms. Hoang Quy Chau - President of the Trade Union of Quy Nhon University; the Vietnam Education Trade Union awarded the Emulation Flag to 2 Trade Unions with outstanding achievements in organizing, directing and implementing Trade Union work in 2024; awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 4 individuals with outstanding achievements of the Vietnam Education Trade Union.
