After the merger of 3 provinces Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Dak Nong, the local trade union organization was consolidated according to a new model to meet the operating requirements in the new period.
At the time of the merger, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation had established 11 commune, ward, and special zone trade unions in the eastern region of the province. These units quickly organized congresses before the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union Congress for the term 2025 - 2030.
Next, on November 21, 2025, the Provincial Labor Federation announced the establishment of 15 more commune and ward trade unions. In 2026, 2 more commune trade unions will be established, bringing the total number to 28 units.
According to the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation, the completion of congresses at all commune-level trade unions is of great significance in consolidating the executive committee, ensuring trade union activities operate smoothly and synchronously from the grassroots level to the provincial level.
Commune, ward, and special zone trade unions are identified as forces directly sticking to the area, playing a bridge role between union members and workers and higher-level trade union organizations. Thereby, promptly grasping the situation of labor relations, thoughts, and aspirations of union members to propose appropriate policies.
