On May 11, Mr. Ho Cong Duong - Standing Vice Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation said that the 2026 Provincial Workers' and Civil Servants' Sports Festival is one of the key activities of Workers' Month, towards celebrating the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
The sports festival is held in 3 areas including the provincial center (old Da Lat), the western province (old Dak Nong) and the eastern province (old Binh Thuan).
The division of competition venues aims to create favorable conditions for union members and workers in areas far from the center to easily participate.

The competition contents include 5-a-side men's football, which is a compulsory sport. In addition, each region will organize 2 more competitions suitable to the actual conditions, which may be mass sports or folk games.
The participating athletes are union members, civil servants and laborers working at agencies, units, and enterprises with grassroots trade unions under the Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union.
Each grassroots trade union or grassroots trade union linkage cluster will establish a participating delegation including 1 football team and 2 teams competing in the remaining sports.

At the closing ceremony on the afternoon of May 24, the organizers will award team prizes to teams with high achievements. At the same time, award 2 individual prizes for the best athlete and the best goalkeeper.
According to Mr. Ho Cong Duong, the sports festival not only creates a healthy sports playground but is also an opportunity for union members and workers to exchange, strengthen solidarity, and exchange experiences in labor and production.

To make the sports festival lively, the Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation requests commune, ward, special zone and grassroots trade unions to proactively work with agencies and businesses to create conditions for union members and workers to participate fully.
Through this activity, the trade union organization expects to create a new emulation atmosphere among workers and employees throughout the province, contributing to completing the set targets and tasks.
