On July 7, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation organized the second expanded Executive Committee Conference, term 2025-2030 to assess the results of trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants, and laborers in the first 6 months of the year; deploy key tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.
According to the report at the conference, in the first 6 months of the year, trade union levels in the province closely followed the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, proactively innovated the content and methods of operation; effectively implemented emulation movements, cared for the lives of union members and workers, and promoted the development of union members and the establishment of grassroots trade unions.
The work of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers continues to be emphasized. The whole province has 16/17 collective labor agreements at enterprises newly signed, reaching 94% of the plan; 281/309 grassroots trade unions in the business sector and 94/86 grassroots trade unions in the administrative and non-business sectors issued regulations on implementing democracy at the grassroots level.

In addition, 338/373 non-state enterprises and all 12 state-owned enterprises organized employee conferences; 101 People's Inspection Boards were maintained in operation.
Trade union levels also issued 46 documents guiding the implementation of the Law on Implementation of Democracy at the Grassroots level; organized 76 training classes with about 7,600 participants.
The Provincial Labor Federation also coordinated with the Provincial Social Insurance and the Department of Home Affairs to organize 4 consulting programs at events such as "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party", Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health and Sports Day 2026.
Through this, more than 300 turns of union members and workers were consulted, 2,500 leaflets propagating labor laws, occupational safety and health, and insurance policies were distributed to workers.
Speaking in conclusion, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged the results achieved by trade union levels in the first 6 months of the year.

At the same time, it is proposed to continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; focus on developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions; improve the quality of representation, care, and protection of workers' rights; strengthen inspection, supervision and management of trade union finances; promote emulation movements associated with socio-economic development tasks of the locality.
On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded the Emulation Flag to the grassroots Trade Union of Nam Thanh Environment and Energy Joint Stock Company; awarded Certificates of Merit to Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Lan - Deputy Head of the Trade Union of Industrial Parks of the province and Ms. Nguyen Thi Huyen Thuy for outstanding achievements in emulation movements.





The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and 27 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor and building strong trade union organizations.
Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation awarded the Excellent Comprehensive Emulation Flag in 2025 to the grassroots Trade Union of Hong Ha Mechanical and Construction Co., Ltd. and the Sun World Fansipan Sa Pa grassroots Trade Union; and awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in the "Peak Month for Trade Union Member Development and Establishment of Grassroots Trade Unions".
