To celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), the Huong Tra Ward Trade Union organized a men's and women's volleyball tournament in coordination with the participation of 11 teams from grassroots trade unions in Huong Tra and Quang Phu wards.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, representatives of the Huong Tra Ward Trade Union said that the tournament is a practical activity to create a healthy and useful playground for officials, union members, and workers to exchange, learn, and strengthen solidarity. At the same time, this is also an opportunity to contribute to improving cultural and spiritual life, promoting the movement to practice physical exercise and sports following the example of the great Uncle Ho.
According to regulations, the teams compete in a direct elimination format to select the best teams for the next rounds. Immediately after the opening ceremony, the matches took place enthusiastically with many beautiful and attractive plays, showing the spirit of honest, united and noble competition. The tournament attracted a large number of union members, workers and people to watch and cheer.
In addition to sports activities, the Huong Tra Ward Trade Union also presented 30 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances, each worth 1 million VND. These gifts show the concern and sharing of the Trade Union organization with union members, contributing to encouraging workers to overcome difficulties, feel secure in their work and stick with agencies and units.
The series of activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union organized by the Huong Tra Ward Trade Union has created a vibrant emulation atmosphere among union members and workers; strengthened the connection between grassroots trade unions and continued to affirm the role of the Trade Union organization in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, contributing to building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization.
