According to the People's Police Trade Union (CAND), in 2025, the CAND Trade Union has gradually shifted its focus from short-term support to sustainable care for union members and workers. In particular, through welfare programs and livelihood support such as the Trade Union Shelter Program, and preferential loan support coordination programs.
With the Trade Union Shelter Program, the People's Police Trade Union has built 10 new houses, supported the repair of 18 houses for union members in particularly difficult circumstances with an average support level of 40-60 million VND/house. In 2025, the program has supported a total budget of nearly 1 billion VND for Trade Union Shelters, contributing to solving housing needs and creating a long-term stable foundation for union members.
The program to support union members to borrow capital also achieved positive results. Accordingly, the People's Police Trade Union coordinated with the CEP Fund and socialized resources to support more than 1,000 turns of union members to borrow preferential capital; total outstanding loans are over 50 billion VND. Loan recipients are concentrated in police workers, contract workers, and low-income union members. The program has helped union members develop the family economy, limit black credit, and prevent social consequences arising from economic difficulties.
According to Senior Lieutenant Colonel Cong Thanh Thao - Head of the People's Police Trade Union Committee, in 2025, the work of caring for union members and workers in the People's Police is comprehensively and synchronously deployed, with focus and key points, closely following the political tasks of the force and the actual situation of union members' lives. Caring activities are increasingly practical, timely, and targeted, harmoniously combining short-term support and long-term and sustainable welfare solutions; in which focusing on union members in difficult circumstances, police workers, contract workers and union members working in difficult areas...
Caring work not only contributes to stabilizing material and spiritual life, creating peace of mind in work, but also has important significance in political and ideological work, social prevention, consolidating the belief and attachment of union members to the trade union organization and to the People's Public Security Forces.
