Responding to the 50th anniversary of Saigon City - Gia Dinh officially honored to be named after President Ho Chi Minh (July 2, 1976 - July 2, 2026) and the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026), on June 28, An Dong Ward Trade Union (HCMC) coordinated with the Ward Youth Union to deploy two projects "Trade Union Flower Colors" and "Digital Information Station" at 4 schools in the area.
The projects are implemented at Kim Dong Secondary School, Huynh Man Dat Elementary School, Son Ca Kindergarten and Kindergarten 9 with the participation of a large number of trade union members, youth union members, teachers, management staff and school staff.
In which, the "Colors of Trade Union Flowers" project focuses on renovating the campus, planting additional trees, flower beds and embellishing the school landscape. The activity contributes to creating a green - clean - beautiful learning and working space, while raising environmental protection awareness among officials, teachers and students.
At the same time, the "Digital Information Station" project is installed to support teachers, parents and people to look up information through QR codes. Many contents such as online public services, administrative procedures, propaganda information and digital utilities are integrated, helping to access information more conveniently, contributing to promoting digital transformation in schools and in localities.

According to Ms. Bui Thi Bich Hong - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Dong Ward, Chairwoman of the Ward Trade Union, the two projects were selected from the actual needs of schools. In addition to creating more green spaces, the projects also help officials, teachers, and parents gradually form the habit of using online public services and applying technology in life.
Previously, in response to Vietnamese Family Day, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Dong Ward coordinated with the Ward People's Committee to organize many community-connecting activities. On this occasion, the Ward Trade Union commended 15 typical union member families in 2026, and at the same time organized a family beauty photo contest and a cooking contest with the theme "Vietnamese family meal connects love". The program attracted 34 participating teams, contributing to spreading family values, strengthening the connection between union members, officials and people in the area.
