Do not let grassroots trade unions fend for themselves
On September 19, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city organized the program "Trade Union Coffee - Starting from Connection", creating a space for meeting, exchanging and sharing experiences for grassroots trade union officials (CĐCS), especially new officials participating in the executive committee.

The special point of this program is that besides officials of newly established grassroots trade unions, the program also has the participation of some brothers and sisters who are interested in trade union activities at businesses that currently do not have grassroots trade unions.
Through this, "Trade Union Coffee" is not only a place to accompany trade union organizations that have been established, but also opens up a space to connect, share and learn about Trade Unions for employees, employers and those who are interested in building Trade Union organizations at enterprises.
Mr. Tra Thanh Quang - Chairman of Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union said: From the beginning of 2026 to now, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union has newly established 19 grassroots trade unions. This is a noteworthy result in organizational development, but the establishment of grassroots trade unions is only the beginning.
Usually after the decision announcement ceremony, a series of practical tasks are set for the grassroots trade union executive committee, especially those who are working as trade union officials for the first time, related to working regulations, internal spending regulations, union fees, trade union funds, organizing dialogues with businesses or moving towards negotiation and signing of collective labor agreements...
From those very specific questions, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union organized the program "Trade Union Coffee - Starting from Connection".
Instead of organizing a training class with one-way presentations, Trade Union officials sit together in a close space, talking about what they are doing, what is still confusing and what issues need support" - Mr. Tra Thanh Quang said.
Getting acquainted with the "Digital Trade Union - Digital Union Member" ecosystem
In addition to answering questions, the program "Trade Union Coffee - Starting from Connection" is also an opportunity for trade union officials to get acquainted with the "Digital Trade Union - Digital Union Member" ecosystem that the Ward Trade Union is implementing.

Right at the program, grassroots trade union officials were instructed to scan QR codes, log in and access forms and documents for regular work.
In the system, there are already assignment templates for the Executive Committee, Working Regulations, Internal Expenditure Regulations, Collective Labor Agreements and many other contents that will continue to be updated.
This approach is practical because grassroots trade union officials mostly have to complete professional work at the enterprise and take on trade union activities. If they have to find each document themselves, prepare each form themselves, they will take a lot of time and easily make mistakes.
When basic forms have been prepared, officials can spend more time meeting union members, grasping workers' thoughts and solving practical problems at the enterprise.
According to Mr. Tra Thanh Quang, digital transformation in Trade Union activities is only truly meaningful when it helps grassroots officials work more conveniently. Technology does not replace direct meetings and exchanges, but must better support that connection.
Also according to Mr. Tra Thanh Quang, Hoa Khanh Ward Trade Union plans to maintain "Trade Union Coffee" quarterly with different themes.
After cups of "Trade Union coffee" and open, warm, and frank conversations, each Trade Union official returned to the grassroots level with answered questions, the first series of tasks knew how to deploy, and a reliable address could be found when support was needed. These things, certainly, traditional seminars and training sessions are not as effective.
And that is also a way for the development of organizations not to stop at the number of grassroots trade unions established, but to continue by helping each new grassroots trade union soon operate effectively, close to union members and capable of representing workers.
