Ho Chi Minh City - From the story of the class of a nearly 80-year-old lottery ticket seller, a new direction is opened for children in Ho Chi Minh City's charity classes.

Implementing the direction of Mr. Nguyen Manh Cuong - Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee (when he visited the charity class of the lottery ticket seller teacher in Thu Dau Mot ward on September 7), the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the unit will coordinate with the People's Committees of wards, communes, and special zones to review points that organize activities to support community classes (also known as charity classes). Through this, grasp the situation, circumstances, age and learning process of children to classify and orient appropriate learning forms according to regulations on general education, continuing education, and universal education.

Regarding the proposal to evaluate and recognize the learning results of children studying at support classes or homeschooling, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the department will study and review current regulations, on that basis to propose appropriate solutions, creating conditions for children to continue studying.

In addition, the education sector is coordinating with the police sector to review and verify the circumstances and aspirations of children. After that, guide cases that meet the conditions to study at People's Police Culture School V (Ba Ria ward, Ho Chi Minh City) according to regulations.

According to the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, there are currently 55 community learning centers established throughout the city.
