News from the Hoi An Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on July 4th said: Hoi An Ward Trade Union organized a conference to summarize trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers in the first 6 months of 2026; deploying key tasks for the last 6 months of the year.
Attending the conference were representatives of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, leaders of the Party Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Hoi An Tay grassroots social insurance and representatives of affiliated grassroots trade unions.
According to Mr. Phung Huu - Chairman of Hoi An Ward Trade Union, 2026 is a year of particularly important significance when the entire political system continues to implement major policies of the Party and State on arranging the organizational structure, implementing the 2-level local government model and towards many important political events of the country.
In that context, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union has proactively innovated the content and methods of operation, promoted the spirit of solidarity, cared for the lives of union members and workers, and actively participated in building the Party and government and contributed to the implementation of socio-economic development tasks of the locality.
At the conference, delegates listened to reports on the results of trade union activities and the movement of workers, civil servants and laborers in the first 6 months of the year; discussed and evaluated the achieved results, pointed out shortcomings and limitations, and proposed many solutions to improve the quality of activities in the coming time.
The conference also deployed a plan to organize activities to celebrate the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2026).
Speaking to direct at the conference, leaders of the Ward Party Committee and the Da Nang City Labor Federation acknowledged and praised the results that the Hoi An Ward Trade Union has achieved in the past time.
At the same time, he requested the unit to continue to promote the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; strengthen the development of union members, and build an increasingly strong trade union organization.
On this occasion, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union and Hoi An Tay Grassroots Social Insurance signed a Coordination Regulation to enhance the effectiveness of coordination in propaganda, consulting, and supervision of the implementation of social insurance and health insurance policies, contributing to ensuring the rights of workers in the area.
Also at the conference, the Organizing Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to an individual with outstanding achievements and commended typical collectives and individuals in activities in response to Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026.
