News from the Hoi An Ward Trade Union, Da Nang city on June 28 said: implementing the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and the direction of the Da Nang City Labor Federation on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union organized a ceremony to announce the decision to admit union members, establish 5 grassroots trade unions and appoint Executive Committees at enterprises in the ward.
At the ceremony, the Hoi An Ward Trade Union announced the decisions of the Da Nang City Labor Federation on admitting union members and establishing 5 grassroots trade unions at units including: Thanh Binh Hotel Private Enterprise, An An Hoi One Member Limited Liability Company, Lim Trading and Service Co., Ltd., Sao Kim Tourism Service Co., Ltd. and LHDN Vietnam Co., Ltd.; and announced the Decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and key positions of grassroots trade unions.
On behalf of the grassroots Trade Unions, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Nhi - Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Thanh Binh Hotel Private Enterprise, spoke to receive the assignment, expressing her determination to promote the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, build a strong trade union organization, perform well the function of representing and caring for the lives of union members and workers, and at the same time coordinate with businesses to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Speaking to direct at the ceremony, Mr. Le Van Dai - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation acknowledged and praised the efforts of the Hoi An Ward Trade Union in propaganda and mobilization of businesses and workers to participate in the Trade Union organization, contributing to the effective implementation of the task of developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions according to the targets of the City Labor Federation.
Affirming the growth of the Trade Union organization
According to Mr. Le Van Dai, the establishment of grassroots trade unions is not only a milestone affirming the strength of the Trade Union organization but also creates a foundation for building harmonious, stable, and progressive labor relations in enterprises.
This is an important bridge between workers and employers, contributing to caring for the lives, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers, and at the same time accompanying businesses for sustainable development.
Mr. Dai requested the Executive Committees of newly established grassroots Trade Unions to urgently develop operating regulations, assign specific tasks to each member; closely follow the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union and the work program of the upper-level Trade Union to implement practical and effective activities.
In the coming time, it is necessary to focus on doing a good job of propaganda and mobilization to develop union members; proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers; coordinate with employers to well implement grassroots democracy regulations, negotiate and dialogue periodically, and promptly care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
At the same time, actively organize patriotic emulation movements, cultural, artistic, and sports activities, contributing to building a safe and civilized working environment and improving labor productivity.
Mr. Le Van Dai hopes that businesses will continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Trade Union organization to operate in accordance with its functions and tasks.
In particular, business leaders need to closely coordinate with the Executive Committee of grassroots Trade Unions in caring for workers, building harmonious and stable labor relations, thereby creating motivation to promote sustainable business development, making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality.
