Newly admitted 312 union members
News from the Trade Union of Dien Ban Ward, Da Nang City on June 27 said: Dien Ban Ward Trade Union organized a conference to summarize trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026; and at the same time summarize the activities of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
Attending the conference were Mr. Phan Xuan Thanh - Member of the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee; Mr. Dang Huu Tu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Dien Ban Ward Party Committee; Mr. Pham Dinh Tuan Dung - Director of Dien Ban Basic Social Insurance, along with leaders of agencies, units and representatives of 25 affiliated grassroots trade unions.
Ms. Do Thi Luan - Chairwoman of Dien Ban Ward Trade Union said: In the first 6 months of 2026, the Ward Trade Union effectively implemented emulation movements.
Caring for union members and workers continues to be concerned with 251 Tet gifts to support union members in difficult circumstances, supporting 900 Trade Union Tet Market shopping vouchers distributed by the City Labor Federation, giving 100 gifts to people in the sister commune of La Êê and many activities to visit and support union members in difficult circumstances, sick, and seriously ill.
Organization building work has been focused on and 312 new union members have been admitted, 2 new grassroots trade unions of non-state enterprises have been established, raising the total number of grassroots trade unions directly under the Ward Trade Union to 25 units with more than 2,550 union members.
Responding to Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, the Ward Trade Union organized the Dien Ban Workers' Day; first aid training for nearly 300 workers; social insurance and unemployment insurance policy advice for nearly 400 workers; visiting and giving gifts to 22 union members in difficult circumstances.
In particular, 4/5 of the grassroots trade unions of enterprises with a large number of workers have organized effective response activities, creating a positive spillover effect among union members and workers.
Commending 7 collectives with outstanding achievements
At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing many practical opinions to the draft report, sharing experiences and good models in caring for union members, building harmonious and stable labor relations; and at the same time proposing many solutions to improve the quality of trade union activities in the coming time.
Speaking to direct at the conference, leaders of the Ward Party Committee and the Da Nang City Labor Federation acknowledged and praised the outstanding results of the Ward Trade Union in the first 6 months of the year.
Leaders of the Ward Party Committee and the Da Nang City Labor Federation proposed that the Dien Ban Ward trade union organization continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; promote propaganda on social insurance and health insurance policies; strengthen care for and protection of workers' rights and build an increasingly strong trade union organization.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of Dien Ban Ward Trade Union commended 7 collectives with outstanding achievements in Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
At the same time, presenting gifts of gratitude to Mr. Tran Phuoc Toi - former member of the Executive Committee of the Ward Trade Union, term I, term 2025 - 2030 for his positive contributions to the workers' movement and trade union activities in the area.
