290 gifts from socialized sources
With the spirit of mutual affection, "the healthy leaf protects the torn leaf", on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the Huong Tra Ward Trade Union, together with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward and socio-political organizations in the area, successfully coordinated to organize the program "Spring Sharing - Tet Affectionate".
The program aims to bring a warmer Tet to workers in difficult circumstances in the ward.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hung - Chairman of the Huong Tra Ward Trade Union said: The program has received enthusiastic contributions from many kind hearts. In addition to meaningful gifts extracted from the fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, the Huong Tra Ward Trade Union has actively mobilized, called for and received active support from grassroots trade unions in the area.
The Ward Trade Union mobilized 10 gifts in cash, each worth 500 thousand VND and 280 gifts in kind, each gift worth 300 thousand VND. A total of 290 meaningful gifts were handed directly to disadvantaged workers, helping them reduce the burden of making a living and have more joy to welcome Tet.
5 0 VND booths for the poor
Also according to Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, the special highlight of this year's program is the appearance of 5 0-dong booths directly managed by ward's socio-political organizations.
Here, workers in difficult circumstances not only receive gifts but also personally choose gifts for their families during Tet such as rice, salted pork, pickled mustard greens, fish sauce, banh tet, coconut jam, ginger jam... without any expense.
The combination of traditional gift-giving activities and the "zero-dong booth" model has created an early Tet space full of laughter and sharing.
This is a meaningful activity, showing the deep concern of local authorities, organizations and the community for those who are still struggling.
The program not only brings material value but is also a great source of spiritual encouragement, adding strength for workers to be more steadfast in life.
