Trains and cars "without money
These days, thousands of workers in Da Nang are radiant, carrying luggage preparing to take "Trade Union Buses" to return to their hometowns. Among them, there are people who have been attached to the city for more than a decade, but this is the first time they have experienced the joy on this meaningful journey. Ms. Mai Thi Hong, a worker in Da Nang, who has 13 years of seniority, shared: "This is the first time I have taken the Trade Union bus to return to my hometown. The feeling is extremely nervous, last night I stayed up all night because I was happy and grateful for the concern of the City Trade Union in supporting workers.
For many worker families, this bus is a lifebuoy in the context of expensive living costs. Mr. Nguyen Viet Dung and Ms. Nguyen Thi Tam, a young couple working in an industrial park, are taking their two young children to prepare for their journey to Nghe An. Mr. Dung said that with a meager worker's salary and having to raise two young children, 9 years old and 6 years old, sent to their grandparents in their hometown, saving a few million VND to buy Tet bus tickets is a difficult problem.
Normally, a bus ticket home is about 500 - 550 thousand VND per person, the whole family going home also costs more than 2 million VND. Thanks to this bus trip, my wife and I saved that amount of money to buy more banh chung, gio cha and new clothes for our children. This is really the most meaningful Tet gift for us," Mr. Dung said.

Efforts to ensure that all workers have a Tet reunion
Besides buses, Da Nang station also becomes warmer due to the presence of the "Trade Union Train". Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Yen (from Ninh Binh) recalled the 3-year period of having to celebrate Tet away from home because she did not have enough money for train and bus fares. This year, holding the free ticket in her hand, she felt the distance of more than 600km to her hometown seemed shortened. The ticket not only helped her save millions of VND but also helped her realize her dream of reuniting after many years of separation.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Vice Chairman of Da Nang City Labor Federation affirmed that the program "Trade Union Tet Journey 2026" is a great effort to practically care for the lives of workers. The unit has focused maximum resources to organize 111 bus trips, bringing more than 3,900 union members home. At the same time, the program has also supported train tickets for 1,800 union members in difficult circumstances. Trains are arranged to depart at Da Nang Station and Tam Ky Station on December 26 and 27, to ensure that workers can return in time to celebrate New Year's Eve with their families.

Mr. Le Van Dai emphasized: "We understand the difficulties that workers face after a year of economic fluctuations. Therefore, the Trade Union organization not only supports train and bus tickets, but also wishes to bring peace of mind and safety to each union member on their return journey. The happy smiles of workers are the motivation for us to continue to maintain and expand these meaningful programs in the future.
