On the morning of October 11, at the headquarters of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Khe Ward (Da Nang City), the Thanh Khe Ward Trade Union held the 1st Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030.
The congress is an important political event, taking place after the Party Congress and the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward were successfully organized, marking a fundamental change in the trade union organization model in the new period. With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the congress demonstrated the will, aspirations and determination of the team of cadres, union members and workers in Thanh Khe ward in promoting the achievements, bringing the movement of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union activities to comprehensive development.
The ward union is currently managing 149 grassroots unions of affiliated unions, including 7 grassroots unions of administrative units and public service units, 12 grassroots unions of non-public service units, 127 grassroots unions of production and business units, and 3 grassroots unions.
At the congress, delegates listened to a summary report on trade union activities in the 2023-2025 period, directions and tasks for the 2025-2030 term, a review report to the Executive Committee, and discussed the contents of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers; caring for the material and spiritual life; propaganda, education and development of union members; women's work, inspection, trade union finance; patriotic emulation movement.
During the past term, Thanh Khe Trade Union has proactively negotiated and signed 36 collective labor agreements with many provisions beneficial to workers; coordinated to organize more than 1,800 "Tet Sum Vay" gifts, supporting over 400 union bus tickets for union members to return home for Tet.
The union also built new and repaired 5 "Union Shelters", awarded hundreds of scholarships to children of union members who overcame difficulties to study well, organized many sports festivals and competitions for excellent union officials, contributing to improving spiritual life and connecting union members and workers.
At the same time, the work of inspection, supervision, development of union members and digital transformation in union activities has been implemented synchronously, helping the union organization to become stronger and closer to workers.
The Congress also approved key targets, including striving to establish 80 grassroots unions and develop 3,000 union members; 95% of enterprises and units with union organizations signing collective labor agreements; 100% of union members are updated with digital data in the management system.
The Congress elected the Thanh Khe Ward Trade Union Executive Committee, term I, consisting of 5 comrades; comrade Phan Van Sang was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Thanh Khe Ward Trade Union.
After the election, the congress announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and delegation to attend the 1st Da Nang City Trade Union Congress; launched a new Executive Committee, Inspection Committee and approved the congress resolution, closing in an atmosphere of solidarity, excitement, and determination to successfully carry out the tasks of the 2025-2030 term
