On July 23, a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation led by Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ruc. Also attending were representatives of the Area Management Working Group No. 08 of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and Phu Loi Ward Trade Union.
Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ruc (born in 1923) is 103 years old this year. Mother has a husband (martyr Le Van Duc) and a son (martyr Le Van Rang) who sacrificed in the war to protect the Fatherland. Mother was awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother in 2014. Currently, mother is living with her children and grandchildren in Phu Loi ward, Ho Chi Minh City.
At the visit, Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan cordially inquired about the health of mother Nguyen Thi Ruc and expressed deep gratitude for the merits of the heroes and martyrs who sacrificed their blood and bones for the independence and freedom of the nation.
Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan presented gifts and wished Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Ruc a happy and healthy life, a spiritual support for her children and grandchildren; continue to encourage and educate children and grandchildren in the family to promote revolutionary traditions, contributing to building the homeland and country.
The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation said that on this occasion, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will visit and present gifts to 7 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the Binh Duong area. This is one of the activities that demonstrates the tradition of "Drinking water, remembering the source", "Gratitude", and the deep gratitude of the Trade Union organization to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and families with meritorious services to the revolution. Through visiting and encouraging activities, contributing to propaganda and education of patriotism, and enhancing the responsibility of trade union officials in caring for people with meritorious services to the revolution.
