Previously, at the end of May 2026, Mr. D. was recognized by the Dong Thap Provincial Employment Service Center (TTDVVL) as a special labor case that needed to be cared for and supported. On that basis, the Center considered including Mr. D. in the survey list, directly guiding for the seasonal labor recruitment trip to Korea in 2027.
Now I am also anxiously waiting for the results from TTDVVL. During this time, I am no longer as impatient as before to be deceived by outsiders. I am always cautious, always keeping high vigilance with baseless invitations" - Mr. D. added.
Careful labor
The direct warning from the victims involved such as Mr. D. has become a costly lesson, helping people in the Mekong Delta to raise their vigilance against floating brokerage traps. In the afternoon of July 21, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Truyen (42 years old, residing in My Thi A hamlet, Thap Muoi commune, Dong Thap province) had sincere sharing about this issue.
Like many other rural workers, Mr. Truyen in his hometown only relies on the precarious income from "whoever hires him to do what they do". That is the reason he proactively went to the TTDVVL of Dong Thap province to register for seasonal work in Korea.
During this time, having submitted his application and having to patiently wait for feedback, Mr. Truyen's psychology could not avoid impatience. He admitted that waiting for a long time made him feel like "my intestines are burning like fire", but he decided not to take a risk.
Thanks to timely warnings from the press, especially Lao Dong Newspaper, I resolutely do not get involved in floating services. I determined that it is better to wait for an official announcement to go through official channels, which are both safe and legal, than foolishly going illegally" - Mr. Truyen confided.
Mr. Nguyen Phu Hieu, Director of Dong Thap TTDVVL - informed that "trap" brokers often target subjects who do not meet the conditions, such as regulations that workers are from 25-45 years old, do not have tattoos, but brokers promise to be over 45 years old or "tattooed can still go" to collect money.
Notably, many private companies deliberately name them "Employment Service Company" to confuse people with "TTDVVL" (the only public unit licensed).
Workers must understand that not every business is allowed to send seasonal workers. In Dong Thap, only TTDVVL is the unit assigned by the province to perform this task" - Mr. Hieu affirmed.
