On June 2nd, the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the unit had just implemented a support campaign for female union member T.T. T.Q (born in 2004, permanently residing in Can Tho city). Ms. Q started working at the QAKS department of Di An workshop of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. from October 2023.
In March 2026, Ms. Q had a large tumor located in her right shoulder blade, her shoulder bone was eroded and broken, and she had to hang her arm to fix her arm. Ms. Q's health was weak, she had no feeling in her appetite, and was tired. The doctor requested Ms. Q to be hospitalized for chemotherapy treatment.
According to the company's grassroots trade union, Ms. Q's circumstances are difficult in the locality, from a young age she lived with her maternal grandparents. Growing up, Ms. Q came to Ho Chi Minh City to work to earn a living, taking care of her maternal grandparents and younger sibling.
Ms. Q really wants to come to work at the company to have money for treatment but cannot. Since the disease was discovered, her grandmother has gone to Ho Chi Minh City to take care of Ms. Q, while her grandmother is also sick and cannot walk normally. The treatment costs have exceeded the family's ability to pay. Ms. Q herself is in a state of poverty, and needs the sharing of all employees in the company" - Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung - Chairwoman of the company's grassroots trade union shared.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung, after the grassroots trade union issued a message sharing, it received a lot of support from union members and workers working in the company. After a period of calling, all workers raised 230 million VND to support Ms. T.T. T.Q. Representatives of the grassroots trade union came to the residence to hand over the entire amount to Ms. Q.
According to the grassroots trade union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd., whenever union members unfortunately encounter particularly difficult circumstances, the grassroots trade union has launched a call for support throughout the company. From the spirit of mutual affection, union members and employees in the company are always ready to support colleagues. On average, each call, union members support about 200 million VND to share with colleagues facing difficulties.
