On January 8, the Soc Trang Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union held the 7th Executive Committee Conference (expanded) to summarize the emulation movement and Trade Union activities in 2024.
Ms. Trinh Thi Bao Khuyen - Vice President of Soc Trang Provincial Labor Federation attended and gave a speech at the Conference.
In 2024, the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union and its affiliated trade unions have strived to fulfill their tasks, achieving and exceeding 10/10 set targets. They have done a good job of caring for the lives, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers.
From the Union's budget, the government's budget and mobilized support, the Trade Unions coordinated to give 3,662 gifts to union members with a total amount of VND 2.05 billion on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2024. There were 12 Trade Unions organizing Trade Union Meals for 424 union members and employees to participate, with a total organization budget of nearly VND 45.4 million.
Mobilized union members and employees to contribute to the Union Shelter Fund with an amount of over 228 million VND; supported the repair and construction of 3 new Union Shelters for union members facing difficulties and housing issues; supported flood victims in the North with an amount of over 1.4 billion VND; and the Fund for the Poor with an amount of over 899 million VND.
Organize propaganda and education work well; carry out well the work of developing union members, updating union member management software, women's work, management and use of union finances, inspection and supervision work; emulation movements continue to promote effectiveness with many new and creative ways, contributing to the good implementation of political tasks of each agency and unit.
In 2024, the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union was one of two outstanding collectives leading the emulation cluster and block that met the criteria to receive the Emulation Flag of the Soc Trang Provincial Labor Federation in 2024. Proposing that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor award the Emulation Flag - collective with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good workers and building a strong Trade Union organization in 2024.
Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Trinh Thi Bao Khuyen - Vice President of the Soc Trang Provincial Federation of Labor requested the Provincial Civil Servants' Union to do a good job of taking care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025. Effectively implement Resolution No. 18 of the Party Central Committee on continuing to innovate and reorganize the apparatus of the political system to be streamlined and operate effectively and efficiently. Effectively carry out emulation movements, especially the peak emulation period launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
Focus on building an increasingly strong Trade Union organization; develop union members when resources are available; participate in contributing opinions to Party Congress documents at all levels, the Soc Trang Provincial Party Congress. Strengthen the dissemination of policies and laws related to union members and workers.
On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Civil Servants' Trade Union awarded Certificates of Merit to 18 collectives with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement and Trade Union activities in 2024.
