On August 22, 2025, at the Head Office of the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank), Vietcombank Trade Union solemnly held the "Creative Journey - Aspiration to Rise Up" Award Ceremony - Commendation of outstanding collectives and individuals in the creative labor movement launched by Vietcombank Trade Union. This is a meaningful activity to encourage and honor the spirit of innovation and creativity among Vietcombank's staff and employees, while affirming Vietcombank's determination to put innovation as a key driving force for sustainable development.
Attending the program, on the side of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union, there were the presence of Comrade Nguyen Khanh Chi - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union; Comrade Ha Thi Hong Hanh - Head of the Propaganda - Women's Union, Vietnam Bank Trade Union.
On the side of Vietcombank, there were comrade Hong Quang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of Vietcombank Trade Union; comrade Le Hoang Tung - Deputy General Director, in charge of Vietcombank Innovation Center, and comrades in the Standing Committee, Executive Committee of Vietcombank Trade Union; representatives of the leaders of departments/offices/Center of the Headquarters, representatives of the Executive Committees of grassroots Trade Unions with commended officials and outstanding collectives and individuals in the creative labor movement launched by Vietcombank Trade Union.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Comrade Hong Quang - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Member of the Board of Directors, Chairman of Vietcombank Trade Union emphasized: For Vietcombank, innovation is identified as a core value, a source to help the bank continuously improve the quality of products and services, optimize operating processes, increasingly better meet customer needs, and at the same time create different competitive advantages in the market.
Today's ceremony is not only an opportunity to honor and recognize the contributions of outstanding collectives and individuals, but also a reminder and inspiration for each Vietcombank employee to continue to nurture the spirit of daring to think - daring to do - daring to innovate, determined to successfully implement strategic goals, making worthy contributions to the journey to bring Vietcombank to the regional and world level".
At the program, Vietcombank Trade Union awarded 9 winning initiatives at the "Creative Journey - Aspiration to Rise" Contest launched by the Vietnam Bank Trade Union. Implemented since April 2025, the contest has gone beyond the scope of a regular emulation movement to become an intellectual forum, where the spirit of innovation is not only aroused but also concretized into hundreds of initiatives, practical solutions and rich in potential application.
Vietcombank made a strong impression when registering to participate in 40 initiatives out of a total of 115 initiatives in the banking industry. The contest not only attracted individuals but also had the participation of many groups of authors, demonstrating the spirit of teamwork and systematic thinking. With many innovative, breakthrough solutions, bringing high efficiency, Vietcombank excellently won 9 prizes of the Competition, with 2/3 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes and 3 consolation prizes.
In particular, the initiative "Smart Payment Routing Solution - A Breakthrough in Connecting Enterprises with Vietcombank" by a group of authors from the Head Office Trade Union was awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor at "Creative Labor Festival 2025".
Sharing at the program, comrade Le Hoang Tung - Deputy General Director of Vietcombank, on behalf of the Board of Directors, commended and congratulated the achievements and recognition of units and individuals honored by the Industry Union as well as the Vietcombank Trade Union. Looking back on Vietcombank's journey of more than 62 years, Vietcombank Deputy General Director emphasized: "The spirit of innovation is the driving force, the DNA system that has brought Vietcombank's successes over the past time. With the mission of bringing convenience to each enterprise, each Vietnamese person through the banking services provided by Vietcombank, each person must carry the spirit of constantly contributing creatively.
With that spirit, Vietcombank's Board of Directors has built a Development Strategy until 2030 with the goal of continuing to affirm Vietcombank's number one position in the market, worthy of the more than 60-year tradition and the pride of each person. To achieve this goal, Vietcombank has set a transformation roadmap with many initiatives and action programs, requiring more than ever, each unit, individual and entire staff must promote the spirit of innovation, must change business models, innovate in product and service development and operating processes to achieve higher efficiency, better quality and bring more sustainable development, always maintain the spirit, courage and intelligence, pioneering innovation to contribute to sustainable development for Vietcombank.
Within the framework of the program, Vietcombank Trade Union also honored 10 officials who were awarded the "Creative Labor Certificate" by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024. Every year, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awards the "Creative Labor Certificate" to union members with outstanding achievements in labor, initiatives, technical improvements, production rationalization, or scientific research works and solutions applied in practice, bringing high economic and social efficiency.
2024 is the first year that the banking industry honors 12 cadres and union members awarded the "Creative Labor Certificate" by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, including 10 Vietcombank cadres. 10 individuals were honored as authors with initiatives recognized by the Vietcombank Innovation Council with a value of 2 to 60 billion VND in 24 months.
Speaking at the program, comrade Nguyen Thi Hong Van (Diction Digital channel Solutions Department) - representing the honored authors - expressed her honor and pride at receiving encouragement from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Banking Trade Union as well as the Board of Directors and the Trade Union of Vietcombank when following in the footsteps of the brothers and sisters who have received certificates of merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024 and contributed a small part to Vietcombank's digital transformation process. This is truly a playground for Vietcombank employees to promote their creativity, with the desire to bring the best solutions to customers. Vietcombank with a 62-year history will be a place that contains a lot of knowledge and experience so that Vietcombank's generations can continue new initiatives and bring more breakthrough values to Vietcombank and the banking industry in the coming time.
The collectives and individuals honored at the Ceremony are not only typical examples of creative working spirit but also a strong source of inspiration to all officers, union members, and employees of Vietcombank, arousing the desire for innovation and constantly rising up.
The award ceremony ended in a solemn and proud atmosphere, opening a new journey for the creative labor movement at Vietcombank, contributing to realizing the goal of sustainable development, maintaining the position of the leading bank in Vietnam.
