The Ministry of National Defense has just received a petition from voters in Bac Kan province sent to the National Assembly's Petition and Supervision Committee.
According to the Government's Electronic Information Portal, in the petition, voters in Bac Kan province said that currently, many children in the province study at military schools such as the Political Officer School, the Army Officer School... or are working in the army, but are not assigned to work in their homeland.
"We propose to have regulations to create conditions for soldiers to work near their homes to stabilize their lives and feel secure in long-term service" - voters in Bac Kan province proposed.
Responding to this content, the Ministry of National Defense said: The mobilization of cadres and arrangement of graduates at officer academies and schools, arranging them in accordance with their residential areas is the legitimate wish of cadres, in order to implement the policy of supporting cadres' families, helping cadres feel secure in their work, in line with the policy of the Central Military Commission Standing Committee, the Ministry of National Defense, and the annual instructions of the General Department of Politics.
However, the tasks of the Army are of a specific military nature, the mobilization of cadres, arrangement and assignment of graduates must be based on the training major of cadres, the staffing needs, the current status of the number of cadres of each unit and the task requirements, ensuring that there are no overlaps or redundant cadres.
Accordingly, for students who are ethnic minorities in military zones, they will be transferred to military zones;
Graduates of the training program for military officers at the squad level who have graduated (including the Political Officer School, the Army Officer School), the Ministry of National Defense will transfer them to units under the Ministry; the units will arrange and assign officers to suit the actual situation.
Through reviewing and reporting statistics from agencies, units and schools in recent years: The number of graduates of annual officer training with permanent residence in Bac Kan province exceeds the number of staffing needs of units stationed in the area.
Therefore, according to regulations, officers will be mobilized to missing units in other provinces of Military Region 1 or units outside the Military Region.
