According to the weekly report of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) from May 11 to 17, many activities to care for union members and workers continue to be implemented synchronously at grassroots trade unions in the province.
During the week, leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation participated in many outstanding activities such as the "Trade Union Meal" program at Unisoll Vina Co., Ltd., the "Thank you to employees" program at My Lan Group and labor safety and hygiene inspection activities at enterprises.
The Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation organized the opening and qualifying round of the 1st Vinh Long Provincial Sports Festival for Workers, Civil Servants and Laborers in 2026 in Ben Tre area, attracting 784 athletes from 35 grassroots trade unions to participate in the competition.
Also this week, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a meeting of party members and workers of non-state-owned enterprises and commended typical examples of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and style at Con Phung Tourism and Service Trading Co., Ltd.
On this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Labor Federation commended 13 collectives and 28 typical individuals; supported 2 houses of gratitude, 35 allowances and 150 gifts for party members and workers in difficult circumstances with a total budget of more than 256 million VND.
In addition, trade union levels continue to promote the development of union members and establish grassroots trade union organizations. In the week, 2 trade unions in Phuoc Hau and Long Chau wards were established and 237 new union members were developed.
Currently, Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation manages 5 commune and ward trade unions; 629 grassroots trade unions, grassroots trade unions with 175,086 union members out of a total of 188,039 workers. At the same time, 105 grassroots trade unions with 17,135 union members have been transferred to commune and ward trade unions for management.
