According to the VNPT Trade Union (under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology), currently, technical staff and sales staff are mostly mobile outdoor workers, many specific professional factors lead to many potential risks of labor accidents and traffic accidents for workers.
To prevent and limit labor accidents, traffic accidents, especially fatal accidents occurring in the last months of 2026 and the following years, the group requests leaders of units to coordinate with the Trade Union Executive Committee at the same level to implement contents to ensure labor safety.
Strengthen propaganda, training and require workers to strictly comply with the Law on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) for work with strict OSH requirements, especially work on peripheral networks, work on heights, BTS poles.
Review and assess risks, ensure safety when working near power lines. Disseminate and guide workers to firmly grasp regulations on safe distance to overhead power lines, electrical discharge distance according to the Electricity Law and guiding documents when performing tasks such as installation, repair, maintenance, cable recovery, overhead work, operation of axles, and lift trucks.
When assigning tasks, it is necessary to ensure that employees are healthy enough to work at heights; especially pay attention to employees suffering from chronic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes. Do not arrange for employees to work in unsafe conditions or after a long working time leading to fatigue and reduced concentration.
Regarding fire prevention and fighting, propaganda and strict implementation of fire prevention and fighting regulations; control of flammable equipment and materials; ensure airy escape routes; check electrical equipment before leaving the workplace.
Strengthen inspection and self-inspection of occupational safety and health (OSH), especially at units where occupational accidents have occurred; focus on OSH training, management of machinery, equipment, and supplies with strict safety requirements, monitoring the working environment and taking care of workers' health.
When a labor accident occurs, the unit must fully and promptly report to the state management agency and the group to coordinate in resolving it according to regulations.
