150 fishing union members attend
News from Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union, Da Nang City on May 23rd said: Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union in coordination with Duy Nghia Commune Women's Union and Hoi An Tay Grassroots Social Insurance organized a conference to propagate and dialogue on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies for nearly 150 union members, women's union members and fishermen of Duy Nghia Commune Fisheries Union.
Attending the conference were comrade Lam Thi Vy - Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the commune, Chairman of Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union; comrade Do Thi Kim Bang - Chairwoman of Duy Nghia Commune Women's Union; comrade Le Nho Man - Director of Hoi An Tay Grassroots Social Insurance; along with comrades representing coordinating units, reporters, union members, women's union members and fishermen of the Fisheries Union in Duy Nghia commune.
At the conference, the reporter of Hoi An Tay Grassroots Social Insurance disseminated practical contents on rights and obligations when participating in social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance; voluntary social insurance policies, household health insurance; rights to medical examination and treatment with health insurance cards; the meaning of participating in social insurance to have pensions and ensure social security in old age.
In addition to the propaganda part, the conference spent time for union members, women's union members, and fishermen to exchange, ask questions, and reflect difficulties and obstacles in the process of participating and enjoying policies. The contents were answered in a concise, easy-to-understand, and close to the lives of informal sector workers, especially women and fishermen.
Giving away 300 dental examination vouchers
On this occasion, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union awarded 300 dental examination vouchers sponsored by Tam Tri Quang Nam General Hospital to give to union members of fishing trade unions and Duy Nghia women's union members of 3 units.
This is a practical care activity, contributing to supporting union members, women's union members, fishermen and workers to access oral health care services.
At the same time, the companion unit handed over the Yakult "Summer Cooling" product to union members, association members, fishermen and workers participating in the program.
The conference is a specific activity in the coordination program between Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union and Hoi An Tay Grassroots Social Insurance for the period 2026–2030; and also demonstrates the coordination between the Trade Union organization, the Women's Union and the Social Insurance in propagating and mobilizing people to participate in social security policies.
Through this activity, Nam Phuoc Commune Trade Union continues to promote its role in accompanying and connecting, contributing to caring for the health, life and social security rights of union members, women's union members, fishermen and workers at the grassroots level.
