Understanding the law so as not to lose benefits
At Proterial Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Tan Truong Industrial Park, Hai Phong City), many workers spent time participating in a propaganda session on labor law and the Law on Social Insurance co-organized by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation.
Attached to the business for 16 years, Mr. Nguyen Dang Trung believes that grasping the provisions of law is necessary for each worker. According to him, understanding policies correctly will help workers be more proactive in protecting their rights, and at the same time avoid missing out on the benefits they are entitled to.
What I am most concerned about is the regimes for sickness, health insurance, unemployment insurance or related allowances. As a worker, raising legal awareness is very important, because if I don't know, I may miss out on the benefits that should be enjoyed" - Mr. Trung shared.
Working at Proterial Vietnam Co., Ltd., Ms. Pham Thi Hao said that she always cares about policies for female workers, especially maternity benefits and social insurance.
According to Ms. Hao, being directly disseminated the new regulations helps her better understand the conditions, procedures and benefits when participating in social insurance, thereby being assured to work and proactively preparing when needing to resolve benefits.
Mr. Pham Tro Khop - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Proterial Vietnam Co., Ltd. - said that propaganda sessions on labor law and the Law on Social Insurance bring many practical knowledge to workers.
Through the propaganda sessions organized by the Hai Phong City Labor Federation, I really hope that workers will have more access to legal regulations to understand their rights and obligations in the working process" - Mr. Khop shared.
Confidently protecting legitimate rights and interests
Not only in Tan Truong Industrial Park, legal propaganda activities also attract a large number of workers of Meiko Electronics Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Phuc Dien Industrial Park, Hai Phong City).
After the propaganda session, Ms. Pham Thu Ly, a worker in the machinery department of the company, shared that she understands much better the provisions of labor law, especially the contents related to salaries, working hours, rest hours and regimes for workers.
These knowledge helps me protect my legitimate rights and interests, and at the same time properly implement the provisions of the law in the working process" - Ms. Ly said.
Having worked at the company for nearly 20 years, according to Ms. Cu Thi Huyen, in the past, every time she received a salary sheet, she mainly checked the actual amount received without really understanding the meaning of each income item or deductions.
There are many regulations that I have not grasped before. If there are propaganda sessions like this, I will understand more about the amounts I receive each month as well as the amounts that are deducted according to regulations. From there, I know how my income is formed" - Ms. Huyen shared.
According to Ms. Huyen, in fact, many new workers often wonder why their salaries are deducted from some items or do not understand insurance contributions. Propaganda sessions help workers directly answer questions, avoiding unnecessary misunderstandings.
Legal propaganda activities in industrial parks in Hai Phong City are therefore not only contributing to raising workers' awareness but also building a stable and harmonious working environment, creating a foundation for the sustainable development of businesses and labor relations.
