In the days leading up to the 2026 Lunar New Year, the spring atmosphere has been bustling in the social housing area of Bao Minh Industrial Park, Lien Minh commune, Ninh Binh province. Here, the Tet space decoration activity to the booths in the Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026 program organized by the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation brings a warm atmosphere, helping workers far from home feel more clearly the flavor of Tet reunion.
Right from the residential area, peach trees and chrysanthemum pots are arranged and decorated brilliantly.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong (from Quang Tri) is a worker working at Bao Minh Industrial Park, sharing the joy of participating in early Tet activities right at her residence.
These days, the year-end work is quite busy, not everyone has the conditions to return to their hometown early, especially for workers like us, so when the residential area organizes decorations and Tet activities, everyone feels happy. My husband and I also take advantage of cleaning the room, buying a small peach blossom branch to decorate early. Looking at the bustling Tet atmosphere, we also miss home less," Ms. Huong said.
The highlight in the series of activities is the program "Trade Union Tet Market - Spring 2026" with 50 essential stalls serving the year-end shopping needs of workers. At the Tet market, there is a variety of food, dried goods, confectionery, necessities to products serving Tet with preferential prices. Many workers also receive gifts and shopping vouchers from the union, contributing to reducing the burden of spending at the end of the year.
Working and living in the social housing area of Bao Minh Industrial Park for 10 years, Ms. Cao Thi Thu (from Ninh Binh) said that organizing Tet markets right in the residential area helps workers save time and travel costs. Many items here are cheaper than outside, and it is convenient to shop after work hours, such supports are very practical.
According to representatives of the Management Board of Bao Minh Industrial Park social housing area, not only the Trade Union Tet Market, the grassroots trade union has also just coordinated with the company to organize banh chung with workers. Organizing early Tet welcoming activities aims to create a joyful atmosphere, help workers have more motivation after a year of work and prepare the spirit to welcome the new year with many expectations. In addition, the activity also partly brings warmth, helping workers feel more clearly the care and sharing to welcome a new Spring that is more fulfilling and full of hope.
