On August 30, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh and the working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor worked with the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Confederation of Labor on supervising the implementation of Resolution 9c/NQ-BCH dated October 18, 2016 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on adjusting the proportion of administrative expenses and movement activities at all levels of trade unions to create a source of funds for investment in building trade union institutions in industrial parks and export processing zones.

Immediately after Resolution 9c/NQ-BCH dated October 18, 2016 of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor took effect, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Confederation of Labor directed all levels of trade unions in the province to thoroughly grasp the content and propagate the purpose and significance of the Resolution to all union members and workers.
At the same time, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor has also supported a number of grassroots trade unions directly implementing the Resolution. Thereby, directing all levels of trade unions in the province to seriously implement the adjustment to reduce 10% of administrative expenses and 10% of movement activity expenses in 4 years from 2017 to 2020 to create resources to invest in building trade union institutions, cultural institutions serving union members and workers such as housing, kindergartens, shopping places, medical examination and treatment, entertainment in industrial parks, concentrated export processing zones nationwide...
At the meeting, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy - Head of the Finance Department of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor - said that Dong Nai province has many industrial parks scattered across districts and cities. Therefore, in order for the majority of workers to benefit from the institutions of the trade union organization, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor continues to propose to the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to consider allowing the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor to use investment funds to build cultural centers in industrial parks in the province to serve the essential needs of local workers.
Also at the meeting, representatives of grassroots unions said that workers and laborers want to have sports and after-work activities near their homes and workplaces...
Concluding the monitoring session, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh acknowledged and agreed with the report of the Dong Nai Provincial Confederation of Labor on the implementation of Resolution 9c, and highly appreciated Dong Nai for regularly urging trade unions at all levels to seriously implement Resolution 9c. "Based on the results, we assess that Dong Nai has implemented it relatively well," said Mr. Phan Van Anh.
Regarding the recommendations of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh said that he will compile a report to ask for opinions from the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
