Immediately after learning about the situation of salary arrears and social insurance arrears occurring at Nhat Hung Dung Quat Wood Processing Company Limited, on October 29, the Standing Committee of the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation issued an official dispatch requesting the Board of Directors of Nhat Hung Dung Quat Wood Processing Company Limited to coordinate with the Standing Committee of the Dung Quat Economic Zone Trade Union and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones and relevant agencies to have a plan to resolve salary arrears and social insurance regimes in accordance with legal regulations.
In case the Company's production and business activities are facing difficulties, the Company's Board of Directors needs to organize a dialogue with employees so that they can grasp the situation and share the difficulties with the company. Accordingly, the company needs to have a specific payment schedule and commit to implementing the schedule correctly so that employees can feel secure, not causing conflicts leading to labor disputes, affecting the security situation, order and social safety.
As reported by Lao Dong Newspaper, on the morning of October 21, nearly 100 workers gathered at the gate of Nhat Hung Dung Quat Wood Processing Company Limited to demand unpaid wages. Immediately after receiving the information, the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Trade Unions worked with the Company's Board of Directors and workers. At the meeting, the Board of Directors of Nhat Hung Dung Quat Wood Processing Company Limited committed to paying the outstanding wages and insurance to the workers before October 31, 2024.
Talking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Pham Thai Duong said that currently, the Company has reorganized production as normal, workers go to work according to the production plan.
