The Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs has just issued a decision to investigate the labor and wage situation in enterprises in 2024.
The 2024 labor and wage survey in enterprises will be conducted in 18 provinces and cities directly under the Central Government, representing 8 economic regions of the country with a large number of enterprises and a developed labor market.
The total number of enterprises surveyed is 3,400; the total number of workers surveyed is 6,800.
The two localities with the largest number of surveyed enterprises are Hanoi City with 700 enterprises, 1,400 workers, and Ho Chi Minh City with 800 enterprises, 1,600 workers... The remaining provinces and cities have a number of surveyed enterprises ranging from 100 to 200.
The collection of information on the production, business, labor, and wage situation in enterprises aims to provide a basis for adjusting the minimum wage in 2025 in accordance with the activities of the National Wage Council.
At the same time, it serves the management and periodic publication of the average wage on the labor market for enterprises and workers to refer to as a basis for wage negotiations.
According to Decree 74/2024/NĐ-CP, the minimum monthly wage in 4 regions is as follows:
Region I: increased by 280,000 VND, from 4,680,000 VND/month to 4,960,000 VND/month;
