At the first working session, the 1st Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress, term 2025-2030, elected the Presidium, the Secretariat, and the Appraisal Board as delegates; and at the same time approved the program and working regulations of the Congress.
The 1st Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress is of particular importance, a milestone after merging and rearranging trade union organizations at all levels. The Congress marks a fundamental change in the organizational model and methods of trade union activities in the new period.
With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Innovation - Development", the Congress focuses on evaluating the results of implementing the Resolution of the Provincial Trade Union Congress and the Resolution of the XIII Vietnam Trade Union Congress in the period 2023-2025; and at the same time sets out goals, directions, tasks and solutions for the 2025-2030 term, contributing to the implementation of the Resolution of the 1st Hung Yen Provincial Party Congress.
According to the report, after the merger of the Hung Yen and Thai Binh Provincial Labor Federations, by October 30, 2025, the whole province will manage 1,473 grassroots trade unions with 304,279 union members, a decrease of 57,977 union members and 1,844 grassroots trade unions after organizational arrangement.
The labor structure shifts towards reducing the state sector and increasing the non-state sector. The rate of trained workers reaches 71%, but skilled workers are still low; the skills and industrial style of a part of workers do not meet the requirements.
Income in the administrative and non-business sectors is stable; businesses well implement the regional minimum wage. The average income of workers reaches about 6.5 million VND/person/month, but the lives of a part of workers are still difficult. Working conditions at large enterprises have improved, but in many small and medium-sized enterprises, there is still a potential risk of labor insecurity; shift meals and periodic health check-ups are not guaranteed.
In the period 2023-2025, Trade Union activities received the leadership attention of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Committee and the coordination of sectors and localities. Trade union levels gradually innovated the content and methods of operation; focusing on caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers.
On the morning of December 27, the Hung Yen Provincial Trade Union Congress for the term 2025-2030 continued to work with a solemn session.
