Proactively preventing epidemics
Currently, Dak Lak has 27,534 union members and workers working in production and business enterprises. In Hoa Phu Industrial Park and Tan An Industrial Cluster (Buon Ma Thuot city alone, more than 10,400 workers are working.
Statistics from the Dak Lak Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) show that from the beginning of 2025 to now, the whole province has recorded nearly 60 cases of measles. Given the erratic weather, the risk of infectious disease outbreaks is always present.
Mr. Pham Van Khoa - a worker in Hoa Phu Industrial Park - shared: "My company has about 500 workers, the labor density in the factory is very high. When there is an infection, the disease is very contagious.
Mr. Truong Ho Anh Hoang - Deputy Head of the Dak Lak Province Industrial Park Management Board - said that in the context of businesses boosting production and business, disease prevention and control in industrial parks and clusters is very important. Just a small outbreak, control will face many difficulties, especially in an environment with high labor density and the risk of rapid spread.
According to Mr. Hoang, the Management Board has requested businesses in industrial parks to raise awareness and proactively prevent and control the epidemic.
Do not let it spread widely
Mr. Hoang Hai Phuc - Director of the CDC of Dak Lak province - commented that organizing periodic health check-ups and early detection of disease signs is one of the important measures to help prevent the outbreak of infectious diseases.
Enterprises should cooperate with medical facilities to organize health check-ups for workers. Propaganda sessions about diseases, prevention methods and self-protection awareness of workers also need to be organized regularly.
"When there are cases of infection in clusters and industrial parks, grassroots health forces need to isolate patients, isolate them, and handle outbreaks to prevent widespread spread. Local health agencies need to coordinate with businesses to ensure timely detection and handling of any arising situations" - Mr. Phuc added.
In the face of the above situation, the Dak Lak Provincial People's Committee has assigned the Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to closely monitor the situation of infectious diseases in the area. The health force proactively supervises and promptly handles suspected cases of illness at medical facilities, educational institutions, clusters, industrial parks, etc.
The health sector strictly implements infection control, infection prevention and control in medical examination and treatment facilities and ensures logistics, funding, medicines, vaccines, equipment, and human resources to meet treatment requirements and prevention and control of infectious diseases.
