On October 1, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province informed that since the beginning of 2024, the whole province has had more than 1,000 workers going abroad to work under contracts.
In addition, there are more than 200 seasonal workers working in the agricultural sector in Korea under a cooperation agreement between localities.
Ms. H'Ajun Bya (Cu M'Gar district, Dak Lak province) shared: "After returning to my hometown from Ho Chi Minh City, I have been unemployed for 3 months now. Every day, I only find some seasonal jobs but they are not stable to make a living. My husband's income is also unstable, so it is very difficult for the family to raise 2 children to study properly. I plan to submit documents and complete procedures to go abroad to work to improve the family economy, but I do not know the procedures and costs."
According to research, the beneficiaries are workers from poor households, near-poor households, ethnic minority workers, and workers who are relatives of people with revolutionary contributions. In addition, there are also workers legally residing in poor districts, ethnic minority areas, mountainous areas...
Labor export workers belonging to the above subjects are also supported by the social policy bank with preferential loans to pay the prescribed expenses.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly - Head of Division of Labor, Employment and Vocational Education (Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province) shared that currently, people who wish to work abroad in the locality will be supported with tuition fees for vocational training, foreign languages, and necessary knowledge.
"In addition, workers are also supported with costs for passport procedures, visas, health check-ups, criminal records and other expenses as prescribed to work abroad," added Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly.
