On January 24, a delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by Vice President Ngo Duy Hieu visited the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street (Hanoi City).
Attending the meeting were representatives of the leaders of the departments, the General Confederation of Labor's Inspection Committee, the General Confederation of Labor's Office, representatives of the Party Committee, Trade Union, Youth Union of the agency and representatives of the leaders and trade unions of the units under the General Confederation of Labor.
The wreath of the delegation bears the inscription: Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs.
Before the heroic martyrs, the delegation observed a minute of silence, expressing their gratitude to the nation's outstanding sons who did not hesitate to shed their blood and bravely sacrificed for the cause of national liberation and for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Next, the delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor offered incense to pay respect to revolutionary predecessors, heroic martyrs, and former leaders of the General Confederation at Mai Dich Cemetery.
Reporting to the souls of revolutionary predecessors, heroic martyrs, and former leaders of the General Confederation of Labor, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu said that in 2024, Vietnamese trade unions at all levels, under the leadership of Party committees at all levels, with the coordination of the government and employers, have made many efforts and strived to achieve comprehensive results in all aspects of work.
In particular, political and ideological education for union members and workers has many innovations; the care, representation and protection of workers' rights have gone into depth, helping union members and workers solve difficulties and concerns, including many support packages, especially support packages for union members and workers affected by storm No. 3, promptly helping many cases overcome difficulties...
Activities of building trade union organizations, participating in Party and government building have developed, especially progress in developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions... 2024 is also a year that marks many milestones of the Trade Union organization in participating in building legal policies...
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu said that the Vietnam Trade Union is determined to fulfill its tasks well, especially to do better and go deeper into the tasks of representing, caring for, and protecting the rights of union members and workers; to do well in propaganda and education work, to build a clean and strong trade union organization; to participate in building the Party and government, and together with the political system, to implement the Party's orientations in building the country into a new era - the era of national development.
