On December 18, Regiment 726 (Army Corps 16) coordinated with the People's Committee of Quang Truc Commune (Tuy Duc District) and Dak Dang Border Guard Station to organize many meaningful activities.
This is the occasion to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army and the 35th anniversary of National Defense Day, to pay tribute to heroic martyrs and those who contributed to the revolution.
The units held an incense offering ceremony at the Quang Truc Commune Memorial and the Memorial House of the Martyrs of Battalion 840 - Southeast Region.
In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, delegates laid wreaths with the words "Forever grateful to the heroic martyrs", and observed a minute of silence to express deep and infinite gratitude for the great sacrifices of the heroic martyrs for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland.
Before the incense offering ceremony, the members and youth of the 726th Regiment's Youth Union organized a campaign to clean up the environment, sweep and beautify the landscape at the Memorial area and the Memorial Stele House.
These activities not only contribute to environmental protection but also demonstrate respect and preservation of historical values of previous generations.
On the same day, a working delegation of Regiment 726, led by Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Trang - Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Regiment, visited, presented gifts, and provided medical examination and health care to policy beneficiaries in the area.
The delegation kindly asked about the health and life of each policy family, and presented gifts of gratitude, expressing deep gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of war invalids, martyrs and those who contributed to the cause of national liberation.
Speaking at the destinations, Lieutenant Colonel Do Van Trang expressed his hope that families with meritorious services will continue to promote revolutionary traditions, live exemplary lives, encourage their children and grandchildren to comply with the Party's policies and the State's laws, compete in production and labor, and build a prosperous and happy life.
