Invest 2.2 billion VND to build a mid-shift rest area for workers

HCMC - From the recommendations of employees and the union, the Board of Directors of the company listened to and invested 2.2 billion VND to build a mid- shift rest area for employees.

On September 15, the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An ward, Ho Chi Minh City) said that the company has completed investment in a mid-term vacation area for workers.

The project has a roof to cover the rain and sun. Below is a wooden table system with a mattress. The entire project is invested with about 2.2 billion VND.

When workers take a break in the middle of their shift, they can go to this area to drink water and rest.

Previously, at the end of July 2025, the Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. held a conference of labor delegates.

At the conference, with the participation of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union, the Board of Directors of the company and employees, many contents were recommended such as: work uniforms, Tet bonuses, benefits, work space arrangement, and rest space between shifts. The above issues were all answered, recorded and a roadmap was developed by the Board of Directors to meet the legitimate aspirations of workers.

It is known that Yazaki EDS Vietnam Co., Ltd. has been operating and developing in Vietnam for 30 years. The company has 4 factories with a total of about 11,000 employees. At the main factory in Di An ward, the company has actively supported the Trade Union to open a Trade Union supermarket. Small supermarkets are helping workers buy consumer goods conveniently. In addition, the price of the item is calculated at a preferential price to help workers save costs.
