On the afternoon of September 15, the 13th Conference of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) - 13th term took place under the chairmanship of Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, President of the VGCL. The conference was attended by representatives of the Central Party Building Committees.
According to the program, at this session, the Presidium gave opinions on 10 contents. Including the Proposal to orient some key tasks of trade union activities in 2026; Proposal for the Plan to study and amend the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union; Proposal to guide some contents of personnel work at trade union congresses at all levels towards the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union; Proposal on adjusting the target of developing trade union members in 2025...
Speaking at the opening of the conference, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that in 2026, the first year of implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, the Resolution of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress and the Vietnam Trade Union Congress for the 2026 - 2031 term, the first year of implementing the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2026 - 2030 with a double-digit growth target.
In order for trade unions at all levels to proactively develop trade union work programs and plans in 2026 in line with local and sectoral realities, the Standing Committee of the Presidium has directed the development of orientations for a number of key tasks of trade union activities in 2026, planning 4 major activities and events, 9 main target groups based on the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Resolution 02-NQ/TW dated June 12, 2021 of the Politburo, 11 groups of tasks and solutions to organize implementation.
The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized the Plan to organize activities to care for Binh Ngo Tet for union members and workers. Accordingly, basically, this year's Tet care activities continue to inherit and promote effective models in recent years, at the same time, the new moment is the organization of union year's anniversary meals at the grassroots union level.
Chairman Nguyen Dinh Khang suggested that the members of the Presidium give their opinions on the theme, organization method, quantity, subjects, Tet gift levels... to ensure effectiveness, feasibility, suitability with reality and best care for union members and workers with the motto that all union members and workers have Tet and enjoy Tet.
