On September 21, a working delegation led by Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong had a working session with the Standing Committee of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (UBMTT) - chaired the reception and working session with the delegation.
At the working session, delegates focused on discussing key solutions to strengthen the Party's leadership over the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions (CĐCS), establishing industrial park trade unions; the development of party members in the workforce and labor force...
Speaking at the working session, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong emphasized that consolidating the organization and taking practical care of workers is the core solution to maintain the role of the Trade Union in the new context. At the same time, the work of developing party members among direct production workers will create a foundation for sustainable business development.
To improve the quality of operations, Vice Chairman Thai Thu Xuong proposed that the Standing Committee of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee continue to direct trade union levels to innovate operating methods, promote union member development and establish grassroots trade unions. In particular, the Provincial Party Committee needs to soon approve the Project on establishing the Provincial Industrial Park Trade Union; at the same time, pilot the model of establishing trade unions in a central commune or ward to manage grassroots trade unions and neighboring trade unions in order to optimize the apparatus.
In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor proposed that localities pay attention to allocating sufficient staff, or allow the signing of contracts for full-time trade union officials to pay from trade union finances in places that are still lacking. The Vice Chairman wished the two agencies to maintain close coordination to build a strong worker movement, contributing to building a clean and strong Party and local government.
Recording the opinions from the working delegation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tay Ninh province Nguyen Thanh Hai affirmed that the province always pays special attention to the working class and the Trade Union organization.
Currently, the whole province has 2,327 grassroots trade unions with more than 478,000 union members; especially in industrial parks, there are more than 1,000 grassroots trade unions with more than 287,280 union members, accounting for 44.8% of the number of grassroots trade unions and 60% of the number of union members in the whole province.
Identifying the worker force as the core in socio-economic development, the province continues to direct Party committees at all levels to closely coordinate with trade union organizations to review and consolidate the apparatus, allocate appropriate resources, and at the same time promote the establishment of Party organizations and the development of party members in enterprises, ensuring the comprehensive leadership of the Party over the worker movement.
